CDS THRIFT AND CREDIT COOPERATIVE SOCIETY (TACCOS)

The CDS Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society (TACCOS) Limited is a community-driven financial institution established under the Manipur Cooperative Society Act (Reg. No. 5 of 2020-21). As a subsidiary of the Community Development Society (CDS), TACCOS was created to promote savings, provide affordable credit, and strengthen financial security among its members.

Through its cooperative model, TACCOS encourages members to practice thrift while pooling resources into a common fund. These savings are reinvested into the community through internal lending, enabling members to access loans for personal needs, small businesses, agriculture, education, and emergencies. By ensuring that funds circulate within the community, TACCOS fosters local economic growth and resilience.

Beyond credit services, the society also promotes financial literacy and cooperative values, empowering members to make informed decisions, adopt responsible borrowing practices, and plan for sustainable livelihoods.

With transparency, accountability, and democratic participation at its core, TACCOS is more than a financial institution—it is a platform for mutual support, empowerment, and inclusive economic development.
