Community Development Society (CDS) is implementing the Livelihood Development Project to improve the livelihood opportunities of Scheduled Tribe communities in Churachandpur District, Manipur. Supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the project focuses on strengthening the knowledge and skills of farmers and rural youth through practical training in agronomy, horticulture, piggery poultry.

The project provides technical training, practical demonstrations field-based learning to promote improved agricultural and livestock management practices. Participants are equipped with the skills required to enhance farm productivity, reduce production losses adopt sustainable livelihood practices that contribute to improved household income.

The training is conducted through CDS training centres at Thanlon Village and Pearsonmun Vengsak, Lamka, with support from experienced local resource persons and technical experts. The programme places emphasis on practical learning, enabling participants to apply the knowledge gained within their own farms and communities.

Over the years, CDS has been implementing livelihood and community development programmes across Churachandpur District in collaboration with government departments and development partners. The organisation continues to work closely with local communities to strengthen livelihood security, promote self-employment improve the socio-economic well-being of tribal families through sustainable and community-based development initiatives.
