As part of the Vocational Training Centre for Youth (VTCY) project implemented by Community Development Society (CDS) with support from IndiGo CSR, an exposure visit was organised for the Hospitality – Food & Beverage trainees of CDS Skill Centre on 29 September 2026 at Providence Guest House, New Lamka, Churachandpur.

Exposure visits form an important part of the training programme at CDS Skill Centre. The visit was organised to provide trainees with an opportunity to step outside the classroom and gain a better understanding of how the hospitality sector functions in an actual workplace.
During the visit, the trainees observed the day-to-day operations of the guest house and learned about guest services, food and beverage service, workplace discipline, hygiene, communication and other aspects of hospitality operations. They also had the opportunity to interact with the staff and learn from their practical experience.

The visit helped the trainees connect what they had learned during their classroom and practical sessions with actual workplace practices. It also gave them a clearer understanding of professional behaviour, service standards and the responsibilities expected of employees in the hospitality industry.
Such industry exposure is regularly incorporated into the training at CDS Skill Centre to strengthen the practical knowledge and workplace readiness of trainees before they enter employment.
